The kit comes with two 18V LXT 3.0Ah batteries and the Rapid Optimum Charger for efficient charging. It is compatible with Makita’s expanding 18V LXT System, the world’s largest cordless tool system powered by 18V lithium-ion slide-style batteries. Makita 18V LXT Batteries have the fastest charge times in their categories, ensuring more time working and less time waiting for charging.

To enhance tool performance and battery life, Makita has implemented Star Protection Computer Controls. This technology enables real-time communication between the tool and battery to monitor conditions during use and protect against overloading, over-discharging, and overheating. The tool can also be powered by Makita 18V LXT and Compact Lithium-Ion batteries with Star Protection indicated by a star symbol on the battery.
