Makita 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Brushless Compact Router

The 18V Brushless Compact Router (model XTR01T7, tool only, batteries and charger sold separately) combines the power of a corded tool with the convenience of cordless operation. With an efficient Makita BL Brushless Motor, this router offers up to 50% longer run time, increased power and speed, and longer tool life. It is compatible with Makita 18V LXT Lithium-Ion batteries.

Engineered for a wide range of cabinetry and woodworking applications, the XTR01Z features a variable speed control dial (10,000 – 30,000 RPM) to adjust the speed to the application. Electronic speed control maintains constant speed under load, while the soft start feature ensures smoother startups and better accuracy. The router also includes a rack-and-pinion fine depth adjustment system, dual L.E.D. lights for illumination, and a quick release cam lock system for convenient depth adjustments and base removal/installation.

For users of corded Makita Compact Routers (models RT0700C, RT0701C), the bases used with those routers are fully compatible with the XTR01Z. The router can also easily connect to Makita vacuum cleaners with the optional dust nozzle for improved dust extraction. It is part of Makita’s expanding 18V Lithium-Ion system, which is powered by 18V Lithium-Ion slide-style batteries known for their fast charge times.

To enhance tool performance and battery life, Makita incorporates Star Protection Computer Controls into their products. This communication technology allows the tool and battery to exchange data in real time to protect against overloading, over-discharging, and overheating. The XTR01Z can be powered by Makita 18V LXT and Compact Lithium-Ion batteries with the star symbol indicating Star Protection inside.

Featuring a Makita-built Brushless motor, this router delivers faster and more accurate cuts in a variety of materials. The electronically controlled BL Brushless motor efficiently uses energy to match torque and RPM to the application's demands.
